How I'm Battling my Stress Addiction in 2023

146: How I'm Battling my Stress Addiction in 2023

Today I’m getting really vulnerable and discussing my stress addiction. I want to share the things I’m doing to combat my stress addiction in the new year.

In this episode, I share...

  • How I realized I had a stress addiction

  • The things I’m doing differently in 2023

  • Why I’m taking action now

The first thing I’m doing is to slow down with work. I want to be so intentional about who I work with and only work with clients who value me as a human first.

I also want to stick to shorter work days. I had gradually started working longer hours but I know I need to cut back.

Something that will really help with my mindset is to practice daily gratitude and focusing on the good in each day.

I also plan to continue my wind down routine, and reestablish my workout routine.

And for even more of a fresh start, I plan to get really organized and declutter my house.

My word of the year for 2023 is joy. I just want to be happy and really focus on the things that bring me happiness instead of stress.

And finally, I plan to really challenge my thoughts. When I have a reaction to something, I want to analyze my thoughts and see where they are coming from and if they are true.

We have to take care of ourselves. We are all that we have at the end of the day. And what matters is what is in front of us.

I hope this episode helps set you up for a stress-free 2023 too!
