How to Recover From a Bad Day

145: How to Recover From a Bad Day

Today I’m sharing how to recover from a bad day. It has been one of those weeks for me, so I wanted to share a few of the things I do to feel better.

In this episode, I share...

  • Things I do to immediately feel better

  • Why taking time to yourself is important

  • How to reframe your mindset

The first thing I like to do is go take a shower. And I will go shower at any time of the day so I can take some time to myself.

Another thing that really helps me is to get out of the house. Even if I just leave the house for a brief time it helps so much.

And if you are having a bad day, put your phone away. No one needs to get in touch with you that urgently. We are not meant to be 100% available to everyone!

The next thing I like to do is clean up one space that I can relax in. I just feel so much better when I can feel calm and relaxed in at least one place.

Then I like to reflect on the good of the day. It can be hard to find the good when we’re so focused on the bad. But finding the good is really the best way to reframe your mind.

Let tomorrow be tomorrow. Don’t borrow worry, just be present with the current moment. Usually when we look around, things are pretty good right now.

Just talking through this has been really therapeutic for me, and I hope it helps you when you need to feel better too!
