Practicing Slow Living with Katie Leigh

150: Practicing Slow Living with Katie Leigh

I’m joined today by Katie Leigh of Modern Magic. Katie is an artist and wallpaper designer who helps women create calm spaces to get inspired and recharge.

In this episode, Katie shares…

  • Ways to recover from burnout

  • What slow living is

  • How you can practice slow living

Katie shares her story with burnout and what she learned from that experience. She says that there is never a good moment to experience burnout. So if you can start putting practices into play so that you don’t reach burnout, it is so much better for your schedule overall.

We talk about slow living and Katie says for her, slow living is all about getting intentional and asking the question “why?” a lot. She says this is a practice that you continue to work on.

Katie also discusses setting boundaries and managing other people’s expectations of you.

Be sure to check out Katie’s art on her website and grab her guide to slow living so you can implement positive changes in your life to recover from and prevent burnout.

I love Katie’s work and hope this amazing conversation has helped you find some new tools to start slowing down.
